[SCRIPT] Want to develop a mod but ran out of ideas? Read here!

    Hello everyone,

    We know that there's very talented people in our community that might not have good mod ideas to develop and share. Because of that, we've thought that we can help you by providing some specific ones and explain why they're good ideas which you should consider.

    If it's your case or you're just curious and want to know which are those ideas, keep reading! :)

    Before we start with the mod ideas, keep in mind that all of them already exist but we include them because of 2 reasons:
    :one: - The mod is broken/not working correctly and was a very useful/needed/recommended mod.
    :two: - The author of the mod is not active anymore and the mod got outdated with the newest game updates or the mod itself lacks some essential improvements/features.

    Alright, we've talked enough already. Let's see which mod ideas we have for you.

    Existing mods/Ideas

    #### Simple (.NET) Script Manager (Outdated/Partially broken)

    Why?
    It was an script that allowed us to enable/disable the script mods installed in our game while playing. Simple but very useful.

    The Character Vehicle Mod [.NET] (Outdated/Broken/Many bugs)

    Why?
    If you like to replace the game vehicles with real life ones or even if you just hate that your favourite player always uses the same vehicle with the same tuning parts (and the game doesn't allow you to change that), this mod was a good option to change that. Sadly it's not working fine anymore for a long time and there's not any other mod with the same features.

    ctOS V (Watch Dogs Hack Mod) (Outdated/Broken)

    Why?
    It was a mod made in 2015 which sadly never got updated. It's always nice to implement other games features to GTA V that make the game more enjoyable/fresh and this mod was a perfect example of this, at least until it got outdated.

    Better Vehicle First Person (Needs improvements)

    Why?
    This mod gives a more realistic feeling when driving a vehicle in first person camera mode. What this mod really does is making you feel the roads, pavements and other kind of surfaces in a more realistic way through the camera movement.
    The author didn't update it for a long time and it could be better (and more automatically adjustable for all the game vehicles) than what it is right now.

    Enhanced Melee Combat (Outdated/Broken)

    Why?
    It's a reality, GTA V lacks of a good melee system that allows you to make fights more interesting and not boring. This was a good mod when released (still a bit buggy, but good) but sadly most of the mods from the same author (including this one, of course) get outdated quickly and never got updated. The community really does have interest on mods like this one that managed to improve the game mechanics for, at least, a while.

    Ambient FX (Unoptimized/Laggy)

    Why?
    This mod improves the effects when something explodes and there's active fire. Sadly, this mod does have a really high performance cost (can be a bug, an unoptimized script mod or just the effects used, I don't really know) and is not something that everyone can use. If you like the idea and want to try and make your own mod with (hopefully) better performance or with configurable options to make it more stable for low-medium-high performance computer users, please do it!

    The Character Clothes Mod (Broken)

    Why?

    Doesn't save the settings to apply the clothes at game start. Additionally, for some reason it messed with peds collisions, among other bugs/problems.

    Non-existing mods ideas

    Here we will put some of the greatest mod ideas that users like you share with us and could be great future mods.

    Open/Close random doors | Mod idea by: @Reyser
    The mod would, by default, keep in a closed state all the game building doors that are actually open for no reason and let you choose the option to force/unlock/open them. For example, in Vinewood there are many rich houses/mansions with automatic doors (and non-automatic ones too) that get open when you're near and/or push them. This is weird and shouldn't happen because we don't own such houses/mansions and we, obviously, don't have the key/authorization to go in.

    Auto-Modkit ID | Mod idea by: @Reyser
    We all have had problems when installing vehicle mods that contain tunable parts. Those tunable parts use a Modkit ID in the carcols.meta and carvariations.meta files that gets assigned to an specific vehicle tuning by us. Sadly, the IDs are a nightmare for many modders that are not able to find which ones are unused by the vanilla game vehicles or don't want to keep messing with both files every time that they install a new vehicle mod/pack. An script mod that assigns an available modkit ID to the vehicle currently being used by the user in-game would be a great solution to that problem for most of the community users.

    Realistic noise echo on the streets | Mod idea by: @Reyser
    Don't you guys have the feeling that the V map streets lack of some noise echo? Like the echo of the engine sound of an hypercar rumbling all over the street and not just hearing it from the car itself?
    Would be great if someone finds a way to make them more surrounding/immersive,

    Just like running in the game, bicycling uses the same control scheme. Push and hold to pedal, repeatedly press to pedal faster (sprint). If it can be done with Simple Foot Controls (press to jog, press and hold to run) why can't the same idea also be applied to riding a bicycle?

    Simple Bike Controls Just like running in the game, bicycling uses the same control scheme. Push and hold to pedal, repeatedly press to pedal faster (sprint). If it can be done with Simple Foot Controls (press to jog, press and hold to run) why can't the same idea also be applied to riding a bicycle?

    GPS Route Checkpoints Tired of missing turns and having to double back? Tired of crashing because you had to check the gps route on the minimap? I propose that the race checkpoint system be applied to freeroam so that when a gps route is setup, the game spawns checkpoints in game along that route.

    Why : It's simple fun and I'm sure many people need it since Great Jedijodish leaves GTA community for long, many of his works are need to be maintained.



  • You can develop Hot coffee mod for gta v. Because there is only one hot coffee mod in the gta v mod community. Or you can update and rebuild the the existing hot coffee mod with new moves and more realistic.

    You can also rebuild another adult mod "Street Love" This mod is amazing in gta sa but I think gta v must have this fun mod.



  • Traffic and Weapon Randomizer. (Buggy / Possibly abandoned)

    Why? Love this because I just like randomness and this script fulfills my need. Source code is available.

    However, it's very buggy and the author hasn't responded for 10 months now. The biggest problem is that this script keeps spawning vehicles infinitely without replacing any parked vehicles and roadblocks, which after a little bit destroys the framerate and even crashes the game.

    The vehicle speed option in the .ini doesn't seem to work at all.

    When police helicopters get replaced while in a chase, they will always flee. And the AI doesn't really seem to know what to do with planes sometimes.

    At last, it would be really cool if mission vehicles can get changed. Doubt it's possible though sadly without instant mission fails/crashes.



  • Mod Idea: Random wardrobe clothes on respawn or changing player

    Mod description: For those who are too lazy to change outfits every time, like me, it would be nice if everytime character dies, or if there was a mode that randomly changes between the outfits we have when you change characters.



  • Mod Idea : Escape From Tarkov Mod

    Mod description : This mod is based on Escape From Tarkov game which is a hardcore tactical survival game. The main idea of the mod is about survive the enemy to the extraction. In game it may have custom maps in limited area and this mod should have the inventory system. The enemy can be customize (selectable enemy in configuration) . The Medkit system and looting system.



  • Mod idea: Cw The Originals. The originals is one of the highest rated series on CW. This mod would be super fun to use because the vampires in the series like Klaus , Elijah,Marcel ,Rebecca have powers like Super strength,speed,mind compulsion etc and unlike other vampires in some movies they don't fly or turn into bats.There are also werewolves and witches in the series.This mod if created could possibly be the mod ever.



  • Mod Idea: No Ambulance and Fire Department dispatch. I know Enhanced Native Trainer already has it, but I want a standalone version. It's really annoying that I have to stop paramedics from reaching the people I murdered recently and firefighters from stopping fires that I started. In my opinion, it's one of my most hated features of the game. If a mod like this is possible, then I'll be happy. If not, I don't know what will.



  • Is it ok to leave an idea here? I was thinking maybe some sort of "Drift Trial" mod, and/or a Stunt Run from Burnout Paradise kind of mod. For the Drift Trial mod it would give you a certain amount of time to rack up as many drift points as possible. For the Stunt Run it would be the same idea but would include points for jumps, wheelies, etc.



  • @OldTimersGaming I think there already is a mod that awards points for drifting.



  • @Bet-Nimrod (Just noticed the reply after four months, sorry.) I think there is one where you do that at certain locations with certain vehicles, but I mean one that it can be activated at any location.

  • Mod idea: wanted level on peds. peds that kill a cops will change relationship for specific ped to "Hate" relationship and spawn some officers in the area. Is that possible at all?

    Mod idea: Car Engine Stalling: Engine not starting (Vanilla and Add-On cars support)
    Description:
    The car's engine dies (stops/shuts off) after the car hits something (eg.: a fire hydrant, a parked car, a tree, a wall or an impact attenuator) and engine cranks but won't start quickly.

    1. The car must reach a certain minimum speed (20~25mph) for it to take effect;

    2. It can occur at the time of the collision, stopping immediately;

    3. It can occur few minutes after the collision, allowing to drive a few meters further.

    • With support to Add-On cars via personal config file.

    Example:


    The car flys out of the tunnel sideways and smashes into a water-filled barrels (impact attenuators) and then a wall, thus stalling the car. That wasn’t even scripted. The car actually smashed into a wall and stalled!

    Mod idea: Grappler Police Bumper: Police stopping technique (for police car mods)
    Description:
    A police device that works by using a heavy-duty nylon net that can be lowered from the front of the pursuing police vehicle with the touch of a button to snag the rear tire of the suspect vehicle, wrapping around the axle.
