Helping installing real life MODS

Hello,
Can anyone help us? we would like to install real life MODS on our GTA 5 game. We've tried this before and performed everything like on you tube's torturial, but this didn't work when we start the game. So we removed everything including the game. The game has since been reinstalled.
Can someone help us with clear steps on how to do this and make it work.
