Unsure if I should update game or not.

As most of mods don't work on my legit GTA 5 (plus no point modding it since I have it for online), should I update my separate SP GTA 5? Thing is, most mods work perfectly well on my current 1.0.678.1 SP version, will it break mods if I update? I kinda looking forward for new motorclub mods and such, but it's really not worth it to break the rest of my mods...
Suggestions?
