modifying model textures?

Hello all, when i tried to install any model textures, the game is crashing showing some game root corrupted error, I tried placed them in mods folder and no changes showing up. Am i missing something? What is exact way to update any textures?

@prashsarp Are they embedded textures or inside of a .ytd?
