How to add skin / liveries to a car who has NONE?

How do you "Add skin to an (addon) car who has NO skin?" - Is that even possible? Google hates me or I simply do not use the right keywords.

Not additional liveries. I was looking in several YTD files and there were sometimes no [vehicle name]__ sign __[number] textures inside. These are the textures we can replace or add, when rising the number like ...sign_1 ...sign_2 etc. Or did I misunderstand? But what to do if there is none? Can I just add a "sign" texture? And if yes, what name do i give the [vehicle name] part of: [vehicle name] _ sign _ [number]

Self made, or pre-made from the site, sir?Pre-made (downloaded) skins should tell you where to put what, sir...

@irrelevant I fail to understand though, how a car can have "no livery".
A car without livery won't even load I think, could even crash the game?
Never heard of a car without livery...?

One can choose skins specifically, then do the search.
Normally the mod will tell you where to put what.If you encounter issues, please contact me.
