Mapeditor f7 not working, followed guides on here? Also issues getting custom buildings like burgerking showing?

Still a relative newb to gta mods, however, i've followed all the guides even tips on how to get f7 working in the game but nothing works.

I can pull up native trainer or menyo with f8 just fine. I've tried the older nativeui.dll and the newer 1.8 and the one that came with map editor on here.

I tried running as admin in windows.

I tried the steam version and also the epic games version, either one, f7 does nothing.

I've tried unbinding f7 in the game, then relaunching, f7 still does nothing. I'm at a loss here?

Side note, i also have trouble with some 3rd party buildings like burger king and mcdonalds to show up in the game, despite following those to a tee and using open IV.
Not sure if its related somehow.

Any thoughts/suggestons?

@markm75 Don't use Map Editor, it is way too outdated. Use CodeWalker if you want to get into mapping. Learn about mlo if you want to make interiors. Get the latest version of CodeWalker from the discord, the one on this site is old.

@chonkie my brother tried to use Codewalker but he says it's not easy to figure out menyoo is easier he says but he does use Codewalker to convert to ymap

@Pippie Doesn't take long to learn and is pretty easy in my opinion. I would rather have better than easier.

@chonkie can many objects be selected and edited at the same time? he knows how to do it with menyoo but not woth codewalker.

Yes. Have him join the CW discord if he has questions or needs tutorials, he also probably needs to get the updated version from there since the one on this site is very old and doesn't have all the features.
