Selecting graphics in settings = crash and Game exited with code 0xc00000fd

  • I have a minor amount of mods installed at this point on a reinstall.

I'm finding that the clean/original steam gta version runs fine and i can select graphics settings no issue.

In my modded version, it will crash with the error : Game exited with code 0xc00000fd in the launcher.log if i try to select graphics from the menu/settings.

I've eliminated scripts as the issue.

I have the gameconfig.xml mod and the heap and the other fixes recommended as a baseline, so those havent helped.

Has anyone ran into this and can offer a suggestion i might not have tried?
    Thanks in advance

EDIT: so far i've also tried just renaming mods to modsOFF and it still crashes; Removing the 5 asi's in the root seems to be the fix (now to figure out which is breaking things)

  • It appears that the ScriptHookVDotNet.asi is causing the crash. (this is with an empty scripts folder as well)

  • I tried a clean mods folder (just the update folder) and nothing in scripts and it still crashes. Of course running it without the asi or the purely no mods / clean install it works fine.

Make sure you have the latest ScriptHookV, and SHVDN of at least Feb 17, 2020 (recommended version, actually; the one released in April reportedly leaks memory).

Thanks for the reply. Ill double check on that too, however, i discovered today that the culprit was the graphics driver (1080ti), i did a "clean" install and its ok now.

I have other issues i think related to adding LC rewind (disappearing textures/mods/buildings) but i think thats just the nature of LC, the two dont seem to mix (many addons + lc, only lc alone works well enough).
