GTA Brightness going from dark to bright, at random times

My GTA 5 keeps going from dark to bright at random times. This is a very frustrating problem that started happening yesterday. I thought it was my visualsettings.dat mod, so I replaced it with the original, but it still keeps happening. Even at the highest brightness, the game is switching from dark to bright. Please, any solutions?
