Ambulance Texture

  • Edited the texture of https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/2006-mercedes-sprinter-cuerpo-general-de-la-policia-canaria-fivem-replace to this https://imgur.com/a/WmuQyiH (for my own personal use) but it shows up in game as the first photo on the imgur link. This is not the only ambulance model that has done this. Why does this occur? When I search ambulance the model files are only in one place, in x64e.rpf.

  • @IreBurn
    You're replacing the textures in 'ambulance.ytd' & 'ambulance+hi.ytd', yeah?
    If not, replace 'ambulance_sign_1>3' etc in both of them :thumbsup:

  • @a63nt-5m1th After replacing the yft and ytd files I replace the dds with the same name as the one in the ambulance.ytd that is included in the download. ambulance_hi doesn't have any files named the same as the texture I'm replacing. The download doesn't even include that file.

    I think I'm going to have to find another model to edit as the lights don't work right on this one anyway. Plus it keeps wanting to tip over on fast turns.

  • @IreBurn
    Just so you know (for future reference & what-not):

    You can lower the 'vecCentreOfMassOffset's 'z=' value in 'handling.meta' to stop it tipping over.

          <vecCentreOfMassOffset x="0.000000" y="0.000000" z="lower this value, can be negative if required" />

    Also, if you get a replace vehicle & it does not have a '+hi.ytd' included, while the vanilla vehicle does, you can just duplicate the downloaded '.ytd' & rename it to '+hi.ytd' & replace the vanilla '+hi.ytd', to stop it messing with vehicle textures etc. :thumbsup:

    Lights, I've never messed with, not sure about that.

  • @a63nt-5m1th Thanks for the tip. The problem still existed with the new replaced model but lowering the value to -0.5 fixed it.
