Add-on Tuning parts issue
I converted a replace car to add - on. Got it working, everything is fine except for tuning parts. It's appearing in the menu but not showing in the model.
I can change everything else and the wheels though.
Sounds like a modkitID conflict, have a read of the first ten or so posts in this thread (especially post#2 & the link there in & also post#9) for info on solving that.
You should be able to confirm a modkitID conflict by setting the vanilla car that your add-on originally replaced to '0_default_modkit' in it's carvariations file.
<kits> <Item>0_default_modkit</Item> </kits>
Depends on whether you have changed the numbers from what the replace originally had before you converted it or not. If the numbers have been changed from the ones the replace had, you'll just have to try numbers at random, until you find something that works & isn't conflicting with any other vehicles you have installed.
@a63nt-5m1th yeah i've tried different numbers from the pinned "Modkit ID registry"
The other cars I converted does not show the mods in the menu at all if it has a conflict with other mods. Meaning i cant select any tuning parts at all (just 0 on every part). This one used to, but then I used one of the numbers in the modkit registry. That's when the tuning parts appeared in the menu but I don't know why the parts still wont show in the car.
I'm not sure then, some replace vehicles just don't work as add-ons (& vice versa), or perhaps the new summer update broke it (it's broken just about everything else ).
Syntax check all the files you have edited/created in your add-on for errors anyway.
Easy way to find syntax errors:
If you use 'Edit' (right-click file>'Edit' or 'Ctrl+Enter') to open a file using OpenIV, a '[</> XML]' button will appear at the top when you are in the file. Tap that button & OpenIV will check the file for syntax errors & take you to where it thinks the error is, if it finds one.
Double-check your work, make sure everything within the files is named correctly & in the right place.
If you want, you can upload your add-on to Mediafire or some such & I'll download it & have a look
yeah bro idk where else to look.
here's my add-on file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/w3ajok5npmaxinw/240sx.rar/file
Its 9IXA's mod: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/nissan-240sx-tunable
Replace is FUTO.
Not sure if it's the only issue, just had a quick look at 'content.xml' before testing the car.
<Item> <filename>dlc_FOLDERNAME:/%PLATFORM%/vehiclemods/240sx_mods.rpf</filename> <fileType>RPF_FILE</fileType> <locked value="true"/> <disabled value="true"/> <persistent value="true"/> <overlay value="true"/> </Item>
Your dlc isn't called 'FOLDERNAME'
Download & install this 'content.xml' to your dlc & test it out & see if that fixes it & let me know?
Add-ons defo work for me
bruh im dumb lmao thank you man!
We've all done it.
At least she converted ok, looks nice
