New/updated "1970's Era Traffic Mod"

  • I love this 1970s mod that removes all modern cars and leaves only cars from late 70s and older on the streets. However, GTA V added in the meantime some DLC cars including, classic cars. Can someone add those to a similar mod like this one? > https://nl.gta5-mods.com/misc/the-seventies-1970-s-era-traffic-mod

    Is it even possible to add GTA online cars to SP?

  • Yes you can add DLC cars to SP. you need the popgroups.ymt file which your 70's mod has, put the file on your desktop and you can open it in notepad, or anything that allows you to edit text files (most recommend notepad+) if you scroll down you will see something like this:
these are sections of the map that the cars will correspond to. This link explains each section: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B69NEopL0Ij2M18yRHZOa2xmbUE/view
    Just one thing, dont put any cars in the Yankton section, its broken and will crash your game if you enter North Yankton in the game.

    To add cars you need to look for something like this:

<Variations type="NULL"/>
copy and paste it in the desired section, (VEH_POOR or VEH_MID) and replace "buccaneer" with the spawn name, for example the BF Club, (which is a 70's styled car) its spawn name is "club" (without the qoutations)

    If your still confused this video could explain it better:

    Hope this helps!

  • @RidLogic Thanks man. I will add those new DLC classic cars to the popgroups file, hope it will work.

  • @RidLogic I need some help I guess.

    I download the 1970s-era-traffic mod again for a clean popgroup file. Next, I searched for the car "Manana" because I know that type of vehicle drives around a lot in the map, it is about 4 or 5 times in the popgroup file. Then I paste all the classic DLC cars I could find underneath every single Manana code in the popgroup file.

    These are the lines I found of classic DLC cars.

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

<Variations type="NULL"/>

    When I start up the game I see only like 3 or 4 vehicles of the added DLC cars. The other don't spawn in the traffic. Did I do something wrong?

  • I had a similar problem when i made 50's era traffic, Its seems when traffic is modified gta starts duplicating cars, there was a mod that fixes it, but I cant seem to find it. I havent tried this one, but I think it may help: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/increase-traffic-density if it dosent let me know, I will try to find the other mod.

  • @RidLogic I installed the mod and I got way more traffic, but not more variarty... I only see like 5 to 7 different cars. :(

  • Sorry for the late reply, I found the mod that fixes the duplicating cars: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/traffic-spawner-modded-traffic-fix-alphazolam The mod is old but its the only one that will fix the issue, people say it still works, you have to press numpad 3 to activate it when you are in the game. Combine this mod with the traffic mod and it should give you the look your after.
    If the mod crashes your game, let me know if it does.

  • @RidLogic I think I already tried that mod before, don't know what the results were. I will try again and let you know what happenend.
