How do I get the textures from ydd(example:p_head_007) files
-
I take models of gta 5 and convert to use in some skins in gta san, they asked me to get an eye of night vision, but I do not find the texture that comes it complete (I just find the one that comes the lenses)

@OtakuBad
Easiest way is using OpenIV's Model Viewer & hitting '[ Export embedded textures ]' (bottom right)
-
@a63nt-5m1th so, I just find these 2 textures https://prnt.sc/uhpgr9
-
@a63nt-5m1th I have one more question (besides this one that I didn't understand, since I only find these textures yellow, green...) how do I find faces and hair in the folder? (I've seen all the dlc by openIV and I didn't find anything related to face, beard or hair that I'm looking for so much, example: https://prnt.sc/uhsnrd)

Those are spec (reflection/how shiny object is) & normal (bump mapping, 3D appearence from 2D texture).
The diffuse textures (the ones you see in-game) will be in a '.ytd' named something like 'p_head_diff_004_a.ytd' or 'p_head_diff_004_a_uni.ytd' (they are usually in the same folder as the '.ydd')
What '.ydd' are you trying to edit specifically? Give me the name of it@OtakuBad said in How do I get the textures from ydd(example:p_head_007) files:

For beards try searching for 'berd_' (Example: 'berd_000_r.ydd') & for hair try 'hair_' (Example: 'hair_001_u.ydd').
For player beard, hair & faces, they are here:
...\mods\x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streamedpeds_players.rpf
in these folders:
player_zero = Michael
player_one = Franklin
player_two = Trevor

The night vision glasses I mentioned is this one: https://prnt.sc/uibo4b but I only find ytd with his lens, not his texture.
And on face/beard/hair, I managed to find the faces in the folder you mentioned (both sp and mp game) but beards pro online mode I don't find, just masks.

@OtakuBad
It uses these textures in the same folder:Presume they are the lenses ones you mentioned.
If you export them & throw them into Photoshop/Paint etc you will see they actually look like this when the transparency is removed. Perhaps try removing the alpha channel/transparency (paint the alpha channel pure white or save as DXT1) & edit them & test whether they show up in-game etc
-
@a63nt-5m1th I don't understand very well, how do I remove the transparency in photoshop?
-
@OtakuBad
First off, if you don't have Photoshop, here are some free alternatives.Easiest way to remove the alpha channel/transparency is when you export the texture out of OpenIV's Texture Viewer select > '[Export selected]' button > change 'save as type' to JPEG > Save
jpeg's have no alpha channel/transparency, so it will be removed automatically

Thanks:), I have only one question, this has nothing to do with texture, but it involves the models. I convert clothes to gta san andreas skins, I use mods too, but there are some that I can't convert (using ytdydryddyft2txddffcol) , and when I do (using open format to obj), it gets bugged , how do I solve it?

I haven't got a clue about that, looks like it hasn't been updated in ~5 years. Perhaps look into a new & different method of converting them (if one exists).
-
@a63nt-5m1th I found out why that happened, the model is blocked... do you have any way to unlock it?
-
@OtakuBad
Not a clue, sorry.
