How to fix texture flickering issue?

  • I'm getting different textures show up at a part of the object depending on distance and angle. May I ask how can I fix this issue? :(

That's a trivial cause: either a missing .ytd file (or missing referenced texture therein). Should not occur in original game files. (Isn't this across the street from where the Eclipse tower resides?)

Not pointing fingers, but I've had this happen to me once with a certain popular addons props mod, that caused duplicate prop names to exist (game no like that). You'll need to figure out the conflict. On such a conflict, or missing/misconfigured .ytd, texture, the game will signal the error condition by starting to cycle the textures of the ytd referenced.

  • @meimeiriver Hmm. Thank you so much for the help. I have LA Billboards installed that also have this prop as yft and also as a ytd I think. I think I was saw one more mod that also adds this prop as a yft as well in it's folder same as LA Billboards. I was just copied the one I made to all of them though but I will try deleting those and only leave the one at the original game file's location.

and yup it's the one near Eclipse Tower.

Thank you so much for the help. I will update both if it works or not :)))

If you know the conflict, best is just to rename your own addon prop; like from 'prop_parasol_01_c.yft' to 'prop_parasol_01_c_mine.yft' or something (and then change the name in the .ytyp accordingly, of course), and make a habit of doing so. All my own addon props (and those of an existing addon props mods) I have renamed with my own extension, so I'm ensured there will be no conflict possible. Otherwise, as you have noticed, things will start to get messy. :)
