What are those litter trash like black flying thingies?
-
I have these litter like black things flying all over the place in game. I am seeing them almost every location honestly.
By the by, they are not pollens that can be seen at Blaine County. Because this how pollens look like in my game;
So those flying black things are something else but I can't figure out what are they or what's causing them

It could possibly be GPU artifacting, have you overclocked your GPU at all? What are your GPU temps and usage (most importantly VRAM) like?
-
Reeeee dux
-
@gdfGDS44 Nope
@ReNNie It's not Redux stop throwing every shit you can find to Redux. It exist in vanilla game too, but since the yellow tint removed they are more noticeable when graphic mods used...

@Aurora11
Do they float about or remain stationary when you hold the camera still?Can you zoom in on one with a sniper rifle?
If it's something floating about in-game you should be able to zoom in on it, if you can't, it probably suggests it's hardware or some sort of glitch related to how the image is being displayed etc.Can you force them to be occluded when you place an object between you & them or are they always floating in front of objects? Test a few different types of objects & see what they do, might give you a clue as to what they are
-
@a63nt-5m1th Yup they float and flying around. They are flying like pollens but a bit faster.
I did the things you asked. They become more and more transparent as I zoom in;
They don't show up when I move behind an object.
Same results happened with other objects as well. They basically don't show up through any object, ped, building, vehicle etc..
They also being transparent as I move close myself or the camera too but then other ones popping up. It's like they are always showing up between a particular distance. Behind and front they don't show up.
Also checked and they show up from all direction.

Backup your 'mods' folder 'update.rpf' & then install this 'core.ypt' to these locations overwriting the originals:...\mods\update\update.rpf\x64\patch\data\effects\ptfx.rpf\core.ypt
...\mods\update\update.rpf\x64\patch\data\effects\ptfx_hi.rpf\core.ypt
...\mods\update\update.rpf\x64\patch\data\effects\ptfx_lo.rpf\core.ypt
If that gets rid of them then they use at least one of these textures inside 'core.ypt':
- ptfx_fine_debris_sheet.dds
- ptfx_multi_sheet_002_debris.dds
- ptfx_multi_sheet_003_debris.dds
- ptfx_multi_sheet_004_debris.dds
- ptfx_multi_sheet_004_debris_s.dds
Those were the ones I made invisible/non-reflective.
From your zoomed in shot, looks to me like at least two of them are the same shape.
That would tend to suggest they are using the same texture. Just have to find it hopefully.If that 'core.ypt' makes no difference, it's probably worth downloading DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) & using it to uninstall your GPU driver in Windows Safe Mode & then reinstall the newest driver like normal. Just so that variable is eliminated.
That 'core.ypt' also contains my afterburner texture edits, test it out & see if you want them (way nicer than vanilla), & if so, it should be easy enough to port the two afterburner textures over to your 'core.ypt' using Codewalker or Texture Toolkit etc
.

@a63nt-5m1th Oh wow it worked. Thank you so so much fren
I'm seeing some very tiny static black textures but they are very tiny and can only be visible from a certain angle.
However they might be caused because of a bad ocean texture too or maybe saturation/contrast related. Because when I zoom to ocean, I am seeing these glitter like black thingies on water surface.
Maybe it's their glimse but they are barely noticeable anyway and doesn't bother me at all.
I also checked the Redux too. I confirm Redux also causing this problem but I'm positive mine wasn't Redux related so I believe one of the mods I installed has these flying litter too. The core.ypt files I had was 13 MB, Redux's 21 MB. But yeah, that stupid shit also causing this problem too
I'm glad I just didn't go and installed it's oiv or I was going through hell lotta headaches now
(((
Why they just didn't put raytracing on 1660 Super
( I mean it's "Super" you know .. Not even doge approves it

@Aurora11
You can try this core.ypt if you want, it's identical to the last apart from I changed the 'ptfx_multi_sheet_004_debris_s' specular/reflection texture back to vanilla.
Might make your new little square friends a bit brighter & a little less noticable. If not, jump back to the previous core.ypt etc.
-
@a63nt-5m1th I have checked it out but they still there. I think they are related to something else but honestly I'm not bothered at all and hardly notice them if I look with the intention of is there any unnormal thing there
I thank you so so deeply much for your help fren, very very grately appreciated
