[SCRIPT] Special God Mode For Bodyguards

  • Hello, I just wondering if anyone can make an addition to their bodyguard mods either from trainers or a separate mod. Whatever it may be, add a Special God Mode there. This means they can shot and they will Ragdoll from the impact, but their health is infinite still. This trainer has the feature only on the player however. https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/simple-trainer-for-gtav

If anyone can thank you :)

  • @Galactic-Creations Sorry for bad English. I mean, when the bodyguard gets shot when Special God Mode is on. They will Ragdoll from the impact, and the health will still be infinite.

  • Please can somebody do this please

  • @jedijosh920 can you add a special God mode onto your body guard mod? https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/bodyguard-menu
Special God mode means, the bodyguard will take bullets which will make him ragdoll but will not take damage at all.

  • I wanna bump on this. Has anyone made a Special God Mode script for bodyguards yet? Current trainers right now still doesn't. Would be great if someone made one, or direct me to it if it has already been created. Thanks. :D

  • @RikuIan
    Here's something I put together: https://mega.nz/#!mxBGiSoa!uYcOncWcVvMA6S7QkZYY2s2m2TYhyCtgOvVpGdyVcYU.

I'm sure I missed a few things and there's definitely things that can/need to be added but let me know how this works for you. I've only tested this with Simple Trainer but I was able to spawn a bodyguard and blow them off of Mt. Chiliad without any issues. =D

    Edit:
So I just noticed from one of your comments on Simple Trainer that there was a Special God Mode. I had no idea that existed. It would've probably been easier for it to be added to the trainer than with a separate script.

  • @IAmJFry This works like a charm man, thanks a lot. About the trainer, yeah, I did suggest that they should've added the feature. Wish your .dll file came with a toggle or something tho, but nevertheless, it works just as I wanted it to. I suggest that you should also upload this file on the mods page so everyone can benefit as well.

  • @RikuIan
Yea I didn’t add much to it because I wasn’t 100% if it was what you were wanting. But I can add one without a problem and reupload it or if there’s anything else you wanted added. I’m not sure if I’m wanting to upload anymore honestly.

  • @IAmJFry if it's not much of a hassle, please do. A configurable one would be much better. Maybe a .ini file or something. Thanks again man. Appreciate your replies. :)

  • @RikuIan
No problem! I’ll probably have time later today to that.

  • This post is deleted!

  • @IAmJFry Too bad man. This is a really helpful script though. No one has uploaded one yet too, so why not do it instead?

  • @IAmJFry Thanks again man. Take your time and do your thing, it's alright not to prioritize this. I'll be right here to wait. :)

  • @RikuIan
No problem. I’m not really working on anything so it gives me something to do. Anything else you want added that may help?

Also I might upload it at some point but I got annoyed with the low ratings you see on most mods saying my mod doesn’t work but it just turns out the person can’t follow instructions. I got tired of repeating myself explaining how to install EVERYTHING. Lol.

  • @IAmJFry I guess it's the only feature that I need for now man. Thanks. But I'll report you on how it has worked on my end so far since I had started using it: Eventually, the super bodyguards get killed. I'm still trying to find the reason why though, 'cuz maybe it's on my end. I really don't have that much mods, just the simple trainer, almost all of the superhero mods, and the GTA retexture for lower spec PC's, so I'll probably not find it hard to find this culprit if ever it's on my end. Anyway at first, I see a bunch of them get killed by Thor MOD enemy AI's. Then another one dies while fighting the police. I'll report here if ever I find out the reason why. That's the only problem so far.

Yeah, I notice that a lot here too. People don't know how to appreciate a modder's efforts and they tend to just slam low ratings and bad comments on mods without even checking on their end yet. It's not that hard to look out for mod conflicts or outdated scripthook, etc., they just won't and will always pass the blame on the modders if something won't work. I can't blame you for that reason man. Still, I feel sad about the fact that there are more talented people like you out there who stopped doing these wonderful works because of these kind of people.

Thank you for still helping though. You have no idea how much this means to people like me. I've been a solid fan of modders since GTA III. I've been enjoying all of their works and I have always appreciated all of it. I hope the GTA mods don't die.

  • @RikuIan

I worked on it some more and hopefully fixed the issue you're having. I added:

    • Config file
    • Super god mode
    • Explosive melee
    • Explosive ammo

    Download: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/super-bodyguards

I've been playing with this all day and it's pretty funny watching the bodyguards blow stuff up including themselves.

I really appreciate that man. I've been going back and forth with what I want to do and I may go ahead and upload this. I'm with you on not wanting GTA mods to die and I feel like if I enjoy it and can make a contribution then I should try. I think I just need to stop taking the bad ratings so seriously. Thanks man and I hope you enjoy!

  • @IAmJFry @IAmJFry Thank you so much dude! The new features are awesome and hilarious at the same time! Thank you so much for giving me so much more than what I had asked. You're a legendary modder and helper!

Here's a bug I found so far: there's this ambient yet still noisy explosions I always hear when the new features are activated, like there's a continuous explosion going on somewhere very far. This noise only happens when my bodyguards are summoned while activating. Activating the new features without the bodyguards will not trigger the noise. Also, unfortunately, the update didn't entirely fix my previous issue. I removed everything in my scripts and GTA 5 directory folders except your mod and the Simple Trainer while trying to find the culprit. I then found out that the bodyguards become vulnerable to gas weapons (BZ, Teargas) when they are in combat mode with enemies while still taking damage from the emitting gas. That explains why they die in the hands of SWAT most of the time. I hope this info is enough for you. As of that Thor MOD AI incident, I think the update might have fixed it. :D

I'm glad you're taking time to think it through man, this is too good to be hidden, the mod and your talent. I may be over exaggerating here, but that's what I think. Stuffs like this should be shown to everyone, regardless of the possible negative comments and ratings about it. They don't know anything anyway. I'll always be a fan to all of you modders, and if I get the slightest chance that I can get you all back into the modding community again by persuading you to, then I shall try my best to show you how great you guys are. :)

  • @IAmJFry Umm, this might be a hassle to you man, but if ever you're free and not doing anything again, I now have a few bunch of requests, but don't worry. This will be the first and last request I'll ever ask, and I won't bother you anymore afterwards. I hope you don't mind. I kinda thought this mod included the peds 'cause the ped spawn options were also in the bodyguards' (both options were all in the "Bodyguard/Ped Spawning" category in Simple Trainer). But don't get me wrong man, nothing's wrong with the mod of course, bodyguards were what was requested in the first place. Also, the new features you added reminded me of a favorite feature too. So yeah, here are my requests and I do hope you'll consider granting them when you're free and wanna do something again:

    • Can you also add these bodyguard features to peds spawned too, including the random and attacking peds? Random or attacking, I hope they're still considered one in the "peds" category so this request won't be too much hassle. :confounded: If you can and will, basically the next version of this mod will now make everything spawned in the "Bodyguard/Ped Spawning" category in Simple Trainer have the mod features. Separate features would be great too man, like I wanna switch Explosive Melee on for the bodyguards but not for the peds. This is optional though, if it's hard and hassle to do. Separate scripts for peds is also fine man, especially if it's an easier resort.

    • Since you added the explosive ammo and melee features, can you also add the flaming ammo and The Beast's super punch feature? The latter feature is my favorite, but it's not in the Simple Trainer for player too, so I'm guessing it's hard to make this possible? I hope not though. If it can be implemented, please give them hotkeys as well. Also, it would also be great if the super punch's force is configurable in the .ini file so we can change how strong the punches are, and how far the punches will take the cars and peds away.

That's about it man. Hopefully it's not a bunch of hassle requests for you. Thank you in advanced! If you can pull this off, this mod will be on a whole new different level. It'll be a great and unique mod that I will also definitely recommend you to upload as well, hahahah! Think about it again and again man, you're right, don't mind the bad comments and just show your talent and this wonderful mod to the community!

  • @RikuIan
Thanks man! Yea I was confused by that sound when I heard it then came to the conclusion it was the explosions that weren't being used and I think were going off under ground.

I actually didn't know about them eventually dying from the gas. I know if they're on fire and you teleport then they'll die. I'm trying to work that out now. I've rewritten a lot of the script and it seems to be working a bit better. The explosion sound is fixed at the moment.

I'm going to try to work on your requests. Adding the same features to enemies should be simple but adding them to random "peds" would be difficult without spawning them through my script. I mean I could give them to all "peds" in the world. XD

The other 2 features should be doable now that I've reworked a lot of the script. I'm working on it all now so I'll let you know and most likely upload it to Mega so you can try it out first and let me know.

  • @IAmJFry Don't mention it man. Glad you found out the reason of those faraway explosions and fixed them. I'll keep regularly reporting bugs here or maybe in the mods page so you'll know what to do if you want to improve the mod. This is the least I can do to thank you. :)

Well if the super bodyguards are dormant or not under attack by enemies, the gas weapons still won't affect them. Their vulnerability with the gas weapons only occurs when they're in combat with enemies. I didn't know about them dying when teleporting while they're on fire too man. Hope it's not hard to fix that problem too.

Thanks for trying man. Anyway, the Spawn Random Ped option is also in the "Bodyguard/Ped Spawning" category in Simple Trainer, so maybe you can direct your script to the trainer's spawn option too, just like the bodyguard's? If that ever helps, I dunno if I'm making sense to you, sorry for talking nonsense man. :confounded:

Thanks man, excited for the next update already! :D I'll do what I can to help you test it out.

  • @RikuIan
Oh ok. That explains why I couldn’t duplicate the gas grenade problem. I’ll try to play with it some more. Just finished getting the script to sort bodyguards/enemies so that enemies can have powers as well. I’m hoping to have it done later today after I get off of work.

I get what you’re saying about the random peds but unless they’re attacking the player or doing something in particular it would be hard to sort them from just any random ped the game spawns.

  • @IAmJFry Nice. Can't wait for it man. :) It's funny how you finish with your mod-work waaay early at dawn before I wake up in the morning, then I give feedback to it, then I will have to wait until after I wake up again the next day for your reply. Opposite times can be good or bad indeed.

Ah, I see. So they need to have a certain behavior for them to be a specific random ped compared to every other random peds spawned in the game. In that way, you can sort them out with your scripts and do your magic. It is kinda hard indeed, even by just thinking about it. :/

Anyway, make it the least priority man. Better yet, nevermind about that. It's probably gonna be of the very least of usage anyway. The important features are already there: bodyguards and enemy. :)

  • @RikuIan
Well I wake up at 4am to go to work and if I see a message on here then I'll reply to basically explain what I did the day before. Lol.

But yea that's basically the problem with it. I think I'm going to change the name of the mod to "Super Peds" since it's no longer just bodyguards. I may eventually add the features to any ped and just have it toggle able.

I got off of work an hour late but I'm hoping to still have the next version ready today before I go to bed. I'm watching a 3 vs 3 between bodyguards and attacking peds. They're shooting each other with explosive ammo at the moment. XD

  • @RikuIan
I went ahead and uploaded the new version since everything was working fine and I wanted to get something finished/uploaded before I went to bed. I still need to see about peds dying from the teargas. I'm not sure how it's possible looking at the code but I'm sure there's something Rockstar added that causes an automatic death or something. Like I had to put in something to keep the bodyguards from writhing because even though their health was fine, if they got shot enough they would play the writhe animation and die.

    EDIT:
I tested the tear gas thing with a bodyguard and enemy using super god mode, both unarmed and me throwing tear gas all around them for a good 2 minutes and I got nothing so maybe the new version fixed it?

  • @IAmJFry Ah, that explains why. Here I thought you really were free, but you're a busy man after all. I really appreciate your help man, thanks again. :)

Sounds good man. I'll be here to wait for the possibility, and hopefully my 2nd request too. =D

Gonna try that today too, this is gonna be fun.
