Deactivate mods

When I install addons I need to paste in a folder into the "dlcpacks" folder and I have to add a line in "dlclist.xml". My game is crashing after installing some mods and I wanna find out which one causes the crash.
Now here is my question, is it enough to remove just the line in dlclist or do I have to delete the folder too?
