Issues installing weapon patch mod

Hello everyone.
I'm trying to install this mod:
https://www.gta5-mods.com/weapons/updated-marksman-rifle#description_tabI've followed all the necessary steps, dragging the marksmanrifle.meta into the correct place in OpenIV, but no matter what when go into singleplayer the mod does not function correctly (Can not remove the scope from the marksman). I have scripthookv, mods folder from OpenIV, the latest update of GTA running on Rockstar Launcher. Please help
