Change car replaced

  • Hello and sorry for my english, ill try to be clear,

    I download 911R
    Author wants to replace buffalo2
Me, thats obvious, any porsche must replace comet2

    ... I did not success ...

    what I did :
    buffalo2.yft > comet2.yft
    *.ytd > same
    *_hi.yft > same

    I replace in mods\update\x64e....

    after, for vehicles.meta :
(if I try with buffalo2 this is working and I can see this beautiful creation)

I keep all lines where is written comet so the first lines :

    <Item>
    <modelName>comet2</modelName>
    <txdName>comet2</txdName>
    <handlingId>COMET</handlingId>
    <gameName>COMET2</gameName>
    <vehicleMakeName>PFISTER</vehicleMakeName>

    and replace all other.

When I spawn comet2, I spawn the normal comet2 (with normal appearance)

There is something I don't know, could you help me ? What is the important line in vehicle.meta I don't see ?

(Car is beautiful and i refuse to not replace comet :) )

    Thank you very much
(ye Im not a great moder ^^)

  • Nobody ?

It seems I cant write links
On this site, search "porsche 911 r 2016"(precisely as I write it), there is only one

If you success install it as comet2 say me how you did

    Thank you very much again

EDIT: Maybe Im stupid I changed yft/ytd in mods/... / x64e and after I changed in (not)mods/... / x64e, and always normal comet (not modified) appears xD what appened ? These file sare not graphical files of new model ?

  • x64e is rarely used for vehicle files any more, most of the day one vehicles have since been updated in a patchday dlcpack, in the Comets case, Patchday13ng. The game is pulling the files from there and not x64e, which is why you're not seeing your new model. Put the yft and ytd files in the equivalent patchday folder to make it work.
