Could someone please make a detailed guide to replacing textures (face/clothes/etc) for mp male/female?

I have seen some of the crazy work people have done on here and I was hoping someone could make a guide to replacing textures. I have some experience in Cinema 4D & Photoshop but it seems confusing to do. Im a noob with making mods, but I really want to learn more lol.
