DLC list OPENIV ?? Game Crashes when new car is added

Ok guys please help me out, i haven't played in a while and when I opened up OPENIV i think i clicked do automatic update without backing up my files first for all the cars i had saved on my game.. so when it updated i lost all the ADD ON cars but the Menyoo and Other trainers i got still are working fine somehow.
heres my problem now: when i go download a new car and follow the same steps as before to add the car under DLC.XML i save it and when i start up the game it crashes..is there something im doing wrong now? i added them just as before but now the game just kicks me out if i add on a car in the dlc list
