Struggling to install any mods. New to all of this.

New to installing mods on my pc as I've just recently purchased it. As many videos as I've watched over the past 24 hours, some of them just don't cover what I'm experiencing at the moment. Currently trying to download the trainer. Every time I go and do that, it only downloads some sort of file that will only allow internet to open it. When I click the file it asks what I would like for the file to be opened with. Usually when I click on the download(s), it shows a full folder with the file as well as some of the file contents. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@ThaRealest34 I highly recommend to read this guide: https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/14693/quick-start-guide-to-modding-grand-theft-auto-v and if you want to watch how to install some mods go to games & graphics on youtube. Just make sure to make backups before installing mods hope it helps

Thanks @Darkwolf_26 . That was helpful, but I guess I should have explained it more thoroughly. I currently have the Native Trainer and Menyoo downloaded and they're successful at getting me to spawned vehicles and what not. I'm seeing a lot of different videos as to where people are able to do real world things (jobs, buy different homes and vehicles, get into gang wars as well as transactions in the drug world). I'm currently struggling with some of these files. Some things say that you need to unzip and then extract to a different folder or somewhere else and I don't see any part to where the folder needs to be unzipped and some of the things that I've been downloading, don't have zip files within them... Or I've been at this too long and need some sleep. Lol. Anyone else with additional videos and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks @JohnFromGWN , that's some great help as well. I'm not sure what I've done over the course of about 12 hours to this. But, some way some how (before viewing this video) I'm currently going thru a phase of where the vehicles will not drive when spawning them from any menu. Not sure what I did, but currently deleting the game and reinstalling it to get to that video that you've posted to get back on the correct track. Once again, thanks @Darkwolf_26 & @JohnFromGWN

@ThaRealest34 When I added my first car, an addon (not a replacement), it crashed my game. One car was all it took to wreck a system with 32GB (2 x 16GB) of memory and a GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB. Start with addons first, simpler than doing a replacement, and install any mods they suggest such as gameconfig files and heap adjusters.
