Where can i increase LOD - addon Ped?

    Have texture glitch with some Ped addons (Lara Croft, Ronin) which i guess is related to LOD. No issues with any game character models or cars. No issues with the addons when they are closer, only when they are at distance.

    How can i increase or fix. Only found 1 node in gameconfig, but not even sure that's the right place.
    Graphics card is fine (8GB) and settings in game all at max, nvidia drivers updated.

    You can increase the ped LOD distance in 'visualsettings.dat':

    ...\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\visualsettings.dat

    Example:

    # Lod distances for peds
ped.lod.distance.high	200.00
ped.lod.distance.medium	400.00
ped.lod.distance.low	700.00
pedincar.lod.distance.high	60.00
pedincar.lod.distance.high.x64	120.00

    There might be a performance cost dependent on hardware, but with those values above I didn't notice any & they are ~8 times the distance of the vanilla values.
    I have that Ronin ped as well, same issue. Those values above should hide it. :thumbsup:

    You may even be able to drop the values a bit. I didn't optimise them, just found ones that worked & moved onto the next issue etc.

    @a63nt-5m1th Great. Thank you. I tried Extended Distance Scaling at the max and it helped but didn't seem to be consistent.

    Will edit the visual settings dat file and report back. Hardware should be fine, I'm assuming this is all GPU?

    Yeah, I would have thought so. The only real change is visual, doubt it taps anything else.
    It made zero difference to my framerate. Just didn't know if you had a potato or high population of peds etc, so thought I'd mention it.

    @a63nt-5m1th No, I have a good build, I put it together myself (always do): Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero) ,
    Ryzen 9 3900X, G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB (2 x 16GB), GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB, Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 500GB

    Set the values just a little higher than yours, running stable at 60 FPS. Thanks again!

    That's right enough, forgot I'm running Extended Distance Scaling/MaxLodScale = 3.0000, so most people will require somewhat higher values than mine :thumbsup:
