[Help] Sniper Rifle Shoot Faster



  • I want to modify Sniper to shoot faster.
    I tried to edit this, but its not working.

    Lower the '<TimeBetweenShots' value & increase the '<AnimReloadRate' value.

    Example:

              <AnimReloadRate value="2.000000" />
              <TimeBetweenShots value="0.783500" />
    

    You'll have to play with the values to get the shoot rate you want.
    Rockstar logic isn't always an exact science, but that's the general principle for weapons that fire a shot/volley & then have to reload. :thumbsup:

    Ah cool, no worries, I know what it will be :thumbsup:

    Lower the '<TimeBetweenShots' in 'weapons.meta' as you normally would & then open the 'weaponanimations.meta' in the same folder as the 'weapons.meta' you are editing, but this time increase the 'WEAPON_SNIPERRIFLE' '<AnimFireRateModifier' values by the inverse of the same factor:

    Example:

    weapons.meta:

              <TimeBetweenShots value="0.783500" /> <!-- x0.5. ie divide by 2-->
    

    weaponanimations.meta:

              <AnimFireRateModifier value="2.000000" /> <!-- x2. ie times by 2-->
    

    Note:
    There will be 11 or so different 'WEAPON_SNIPERRIFLE' sections in there for different ped factions & the different player characters. Either increase all the values, if you want peds to be able to fire that fast as well, or just edit the values for Franklin/Michael/Trevor/& any other characters you use (MP_F_Freemode & such). :thumbsup:

    I write this here, because i don't want to fill the forum with my topics.

    Its there a way to disable the RAGDOLL for my character?
    I don't like to roll like a ball when i am hit by cars on small speeds, so i want to disable it, or if not entirely possible, at least to reduce him.

    I'm not sure.
    You can turn first person ragdoll off anyway, in 'Settings' > 'Camera' > 'First Person Ragdoll' > '< Off >'

    Maybe this or see if any of these suit your need?

    Other than that, maybe have a hunt about in some trainer for ragdoll settings.

    If you want to create you're own custom setup for handheld vehicle weapons, add weapon names into those various '<WeaponTypeNames>' depending on what you want.
    With bigger weapons you're likely to get a bit of clipping, with them sticking through parts of the car etc. Also, some weapons have issues when firing in first person.

    Alternatively, have a look at DethMasta's Drive-by Mod & use/edit that :thumbsup:

    I'm not sure. Maybe look for a script or a setting in a trainer or something.
