Cars coming in groups

  • I need help, when I drive around the map I feel like the variation of cars are weird because first I never see for example bravado gauntlet but after a couple of minutes I see like 5-10 bravado gauntlets and after that, they are just gone. I want it to be so there are more variations so the frequency is less but more often so they don't just go from 0 to 10 and I want this for every car because I see that "problem" with a lot of cars. And I know that the types of cars can depend on the area but I've been driving at a specific area many times, it's a junction. I remember one time I saw a specific type of car there in almost every lane, but a different time I didn't see that car at all. can someone help me?

  • @Haenol
    Have read over this post, it covers how to edit vehicle frequency & similar values in 'vehicles.meta'.

  • This post is deleted!

  • @a63nt-5m1th Yeah, but is there a way to do it for all the cars because i want it for every car in the traffic. In vehicles.meta i would have need to change it for every car

  • @Haenol
    Try raising the '<VehicleVarietyMultiplier' value in 'settings.xml'.
    I've never edited it, so can't speak to it's capability to fix your issue, you certainly won't have as much control over the results as you would editing each vehicle manually. :thumbsup:

  • @a63nt-5m1th where is it located?

  • @WGotch07 i can't find it

  • @WGotch07 no

  • @WGotch07 i found one but there's no "<VehicleVarietyMultiplier". And also, i didn't buy it from Rockstar games, i bought it from steam

  • nevermind im dumb i thought i had to look in the game directory and not in documents but i can't find vehiclevarietymultiplier in there, i searched but nothing came up

  • @Haenol
    VarietyMultiplier's should be in there like this:

        <PedVarietyMultiplier value="1.000000" />
        <VehicleVarietyMultiplier value="1.000000" />

    Maybe backup & then delete, or move 'settings.xml' somewhere else & let the game load & create a new 'settings.xml' & then check it again?

  • @a63nt-5m1th how do i create a new one?

  • @WGotch07 do you mean verify on steam?

  • @WGotch07 @a63nt-5m1th Thank you!

  • but i don't seem to see any difference

  • @Haenol said in Cars coming in groups:

    but i don't seem to see any difference

    Do you mean you cannot find the '<VehicleVarietyMultiplier value' in 'settings.xml' or that you can find it, but raising the value makes no difference?

    Upload your 'settings.xml' to somewhere like MediaFire, so I can download it & take a look. :thumbsup:

  • @a63nt-5m1th can I do a zip/rar file?

  • @Haenol
    You don't have to, MediaFire will accept the file as is, but you can put it in a '.rar/.zip' etc if you want :thumbsup:

  • @Haenol
    So:

        <VehicleVarietyMultiplier value="10.000000" />

    doesn't work?

    As mentioned previously, I've never edited the value, might be it doesn't really work very well, or your 'vehicles.meta' frequency values are such that it doesn't make much difference.

    Just jump into the 'vehicles.meta' frequency etc values & fix it that way. It's really not that much work. :thumbsup:
