.xml files not working in menyoo, add ons not working I'M GOING INSANE
-
I have a working menyoo menu and I can spawn/change all of the things that already exist in game (no new content). The problem is when I've added outfit .xml files to the outfit folder in menyoo stuff, the outfits appear in the menyoo menu but once they are applied a weird version of the usual ped model appears instead of the new outfit model.
even in spawning vehicles through menyoo, it seems like the game is having trouble loading things that are not already an initial part of the game. The version of menyoo I have had a lot of vehicles to spawn that are like apocolypse themed, but whenever I spawn them a weird/messed up version of a car that already exists with will spawn in and disapear after a few seconds. and Also add on cars are not working, I'm unsure if this is related.I downloaded GTA v on pc literally yesterday, and I have scripthookv scripthookvdotnet, dinput8.dll, openiv.asi, all in my gta main directory.
I've followed all of the steps with add ons, like putting them in the mods>update>x64>dlcpacks folder, and editing the dlclist.xml through openiv to add the new names.
other than this my game is running fast and smooth
I'm running the latest GTAV version (1.0.2245.0)
I'm new to modding (obviously) but if you've had this problem or have any idea how to fix it please let me know.

@gamersrights69
I don't use Menyoo myself, so can't comment on it's functionality, but the version of it on here is almost 2 years out of date & even the newer version on GitHub is a year out of date (if you downloaded from here, try the GitHub version instead).Perhaps try a different & newer trainer to spawn vehicles, something like Simple Trainer should fix the vehicles despawning after a few seconds at least (just installing Simple Trainer should fix the despawning, even if you continue to use Menyoo to spawn vehicles
). Might even fix add-on vehicles not spawning too.
If no add-ons are working, have a look at this thread & make sure 'dlclist.xml' is functioning correctly & doesn't have any syntax errors in it.

@gamersrights69 Can you be more specific? All Ped models, game ones, all ped addons, specific addons?
Menyoo will behave inconsistently with certain models because authors, for whatever reasons, don't follow conventions.
For example slot 4 is meant for legs but in some mods it is for glasses. Try using Apply or Apply Model - they can give different results. The first usually works, the second forces the correct model/outfit combo.Many vehicles are badly flawed as well. I have about 3 or 4 vehicle addons that spawn missing critical parts like the frame or engine because of how they were created. You then need to play with the spoiler or the chassis or whatever to restore them. I do this through modkits (C#) but it can be done in Menyoo.
In passing, the issues you describe, have nothing to do with your installation, no scripthookv scripthookvdotnet, dinput8.dll, openiv.asi,, etc.
And they don't appear to be due to dlclist.xml - you make the slightest mistake in dlclist.xml and your model will not load. And dlclist has nothing to do with outfits.As a63nt-5m1th suggested, first step is to install current version of Menyoo or a new trainer. I can tell you from my own experience, with approximately 150 vehicle addons and about 100 to 200 ped addons that Menyoo is rock solid. Only issues I've had are with bad models. I use Menyoo to customize my peds and vehicles and then I take the values, either writing them down or from a saved xml file, and convert them to C#.
For disappearing cars - that does happen - there is a mod called addon spawner that will allow you to spawn with persistence.
I know GTA5 is inconsistent with this. I can save a game with some cars for example and then turn off autosave and play for many sessions with the cars there on load and then on a random session, for no reason (i.e. the game engine), one or all of them are gone.
