Vehicle mods easily crashing (not on startup)

  • I finally got one mod I found to work, sorta. But whenever I spawn the vehicle/plane, the game closes with no error. I changed the airport plane spawn locations to the modded plane and it works. I tried spawning it in. It works for a second before the game closes. So I tried downloading another one. And the game won't detect it. Anyone know possibly why?

  • @ChrisElls Chris, posting the same issue in 3 separate threads is frowned upon and is counterproductive. You admitted yourself that you did not extract your heap and packfiles. This is due to inexperience. It's almost certain you didn't install your mods properly. If you're convinced you did then try some car or different plane addons. Check the comments page for a mod to see if there are numerous reports of bugs, extract your files, and read and follow instructions.

Did you watch the video i suggested?

  • @JohnFromGWN Im sorry. I just needed more help. And yes I did. I followed everything they said. Nothing ever works for me. But thanks for your help.

  • @JohnFromGWN I have an Idea. Do you have any free screen recording software? Because I can record what I did and post it on YouTube. And if you have time, you can maby watch it and see if I did anything wrong?

  • @JohnFromGWN I got all the moda fully working!! With no problem at all. I was a bit confused but thank u

  • @ChrisElls that's great Chris. Can you share what the fix was?

  • @JohnFromGWN Yes, so all I did was remove all of the mod files, I then opened up the GTA V main files. GTA V/update/x64/dlcpacks. I placed the mods in their instead of using Open IV.
I then opened Open IV and Placed them back in too using the mods folder. I opened the game and when I was going to spawn a plane, theyre was 18 pages of planes. So I looked through and it was working all good. I aslo already done the other things that were required/editing some files. Thank you.

  • @ChrisElls Good! :)

You didn't need to put them in the games folder, but if it's working now, leave it alone.

  • @JohnFromGWN Oh, thats the only way I got it too work. Ill do it from now on then.
