Problems getting 'Mother's Features' to work consistently for character creation

This has been an issue for years with me. 'Sometimes', when creating a freemode character male or female the selection for 'mother's inherited Head Shape' works but most times not. Mother's tone and shape adjustments don't work either most of the time. Doesn't matter what trainer I use. When it's not working, that's it. 'Sometimes' when I select 'Front View' in Menyoo all the toggles 'magically' work. It's really annoying. Anyone else run into this? If so do you know of a fix?
