80% Of mods suddenly stopped working
-
@puro63 This will get fixed. Just be careful, take your time, and don't leave out any steps. Backup but don't restore until game is stable without mods.
For example, you can put your backedup version of update.rpf back afterwards, extract your dlclist.xml somewhere on your HDD, and then delete update.rpf. This way you keep all your entries for dlclist.xml (assuming no syntax issues, but those are easy to find and fix).
Once you've deleted the old version update.rpf, you copy over the game version of update.rpf, and then restore you dlclist.xml. This saves you hours of work and ensures your update.rpf is clean.
Likewise you reinstall your gameconfig.xml and I would suggest your try the other one, not because it's better, but you because it might work better for you (it is the only that works for me).

@JohnFromGWN So I done it, everything works until I paste dlcpacks mods, so I think they corrupted
-
@puro63 What do you mean by pasting dlcpack mods. You mean every dlcpack mod is broken or only certain ones?
-
@JohnFromGWN After pasting mods to dlcpacks folder. Not all, but it's so much, that it is better to uninstall them and install them newely downloaded
-
@puro63 For an addon mod to work properly you need to verify two things.
- Installing the mod in the right folder. By default that will be dlcpacks.
\Mods\update\x64\dlcpacks
- Adding the line containing the name of the addon mod folder and the correct path in dlclist.xml - with the proper syntax.
That's the two steps. Ofc you need to have scripthookV, dinput8.dll, and openIV properly installed at a minimum.
You might want to browse this thread, maybe something there will help.
- Installing the mod in the right folder. By default that will be dlcpacks.

@JohnFromGWN I have all of these, but some mods work, not all of them crash
-
@puro63 Can you give an example, a link, to one that will crash? And also paste your line from dlclist.xml for that particular mod.
-
@JohnFromGWN https://cs.gta5-mods com/maps/jantsuu-tower-add-on-sp
But I told my friend yesterday to install it and it worked for him, so it is just corrupted.
-
@puro63 corrupt files are rare, let us know if u fixed it
-
@JohnFromGWN It was really corrupted. RCA crashed game, German road texture crashed game and now it works
-
@puro63 i would love to know how these files got corrupted. Ive installed and uninstalled mods about 1500 times minimum and have never encountered a corrupt file. Some were glitched from the onset and could be fixed but ive never had a mod that was fixed by being reinstalled.
In fact despite dozens of totally BS error messages from R* saying possible corrupt files when in reality it was my own script or syntax error ive only come across 1 corrupt file, my saved game file.
If you do indeed have corrupt files you should check the integrity of your drives.
-
@JohnFromGWN I don't even know, last mod I installed before it was just Supreme x TNF Jacket texture, then I played for like 2hrs and game crashed and didn't load.
-
@puro63 If the game crashes just as it is saving or writing information, that could definitely corrupt a mod. Just that not many save info other than missions I guess.
