How to apply skin for a vehicle

Hi all
I want to apply a skin(livery) that I made for a vehicle , but don't know how to do it.

I only know replacing skin (with camo file) on vehicles that have camo themselves but for vehicles that don't have camo I'm stuck and confused . I have seen some tutorials but they just add a sign to vehicle like adding police sign or text on body of the car . Specifically what vehicle do you want to apply the livery to? Is it that linked F-4 Phantom II or another one?
If another, link to it. Not all vehicles can have liveries, they need to be set up for it in ZModeler3 for them to display etc.
