Sounds disappear after modding said sounds.
-
I tried changing metal bullet impact sounds to more movie-ish sounding ones, no mishaps whatsoever. Loaded into the game and there were no sounds relating to collision. I.E. ricochets, body hits, and even footsteps.
I used a backup and everything was normal.
For those who want to know what sounds I replaced, it was "bullet_impact_vehicle" in "collision.awc"
Is there a different way to replace sounds?

@-EcLiPsE- need the right format, you just can't dump sound files. This thread might help.

Here's the thing I forgot to mention, these sounds were in the game files from the start, in "collision.awc" funnily enough.
But I'll see what to do.

@-EcLiPsE- i think for some files the length has to be the same as the one you replace.
-
Might aswell shorten the sounds, if that don't work. It's a wrap.
-
@-EcLiPsE- not shorten, match exact length and format, use audacity software if necessary
-
@JohnFromGWN That's what I meant, I did that format thing as well, and it worked!
Now bullet hits on a car don't sound like rocks hitting a metal plate lol

Interested in what sounds like and if you are uploading it?

I can post it if you like?

@-EcLiPsE- please do
