hi I can't find the speed in the vehicles.meta file

  • Re: Menyoo Config.ini

hi I can't find the speed in the vehicles.meta file because I want to change the string horse power multiplier and max speed where can I find them without looking for folder by folder with file by file?

  • copy the code into the notepad app and put horsepower in the search bar, or just search it on google

Horse Power & Top Speed Values:
Horse power (aka '<fInitialDriveForce') & potential top speed (aka '<fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel') are stored in the 'handling.meta' files within the game. To actually hit your potential top speed, you probably also want to reduce the vehicle drag (aka '<fInitialDragCoeff'), but for Menyoo to read it, editing the two values above is probably enough. (Note: I don't know Menyoo (never used it) or if this will fix your issue etc, just letting you know where the horse power/potential top speed values are ).

Finding the 'handling.meta' files/knowing which ones to edit for a specific vehicle:
As you have probably noticed, there are tons of 'handling.meta' files all over the game depending on what vehicle you want to edit. Best approach is to find them all (Ctrl+F3 in OpenIV) & export them one by one to a windows folder (within which you have separate folders for all the dlc's/'.rpf's etc, something like this) then use a search program (like Agent Ransack (free)) to search within the files in that folder stucture for the game vehicle name. The folder name you find the vehicle's 'handling.meta' in will then tell you what location/dlc etc it is installed to within the game etc.

Also, files in 'update.rpf' > 'dlc_patch' override the same files in 'dlcpacks'. So you want to use them instead of the ones in 'dlcpacks' (if they both exist, not all are in both locations etc)

you can explain it in a few words?

hey did you download the menyoo and found the string to change the speed of all vehicles?

I don't know specifically what that^ refers to. I would have thought Menyoo would have a vehicle speed setting in it's in-game vehicle menu. Many other trainers do.

Just so I know. What is it exactly that you are trying to do? Increase the speed of all vehicles (including ambient vehicles) or just the player vehicle? I'm confused as to why you haven't just opened Menyoo in-game & looked through it for settings related to top speed &/or acceleration etc?

  • @XxWhiteCoyotexX well you can put horse into the search bar in file explorer once you are in the file and it will show any file with horse in the name

  • Find the Horse

    Blind Leading the Blind

Sorry, lol ... but true :/... lol. Just tell me specifically what we're doing here? Just a little bit of info is all I ask. Like, where is the 539km/h being displayed? That would be a clue.

  • @wow-close-to-center

    in what way?

on google how can I search to edit this file

  • @XxWhiteCoyotexX
Maybe it's this? I don't know, no-one answers my questions  :gun:

Why use the 'menyooConfig.ini' file when you can just open Menyoo in-game (F8 on Keyboard or RB+Left DPad on controller) & activate the settings that way? You kinda want to open it to make sure Menyoo is installed & functioning correctly anyway, you know, so there isn't even more confusion & misinformation than this thread has already created.

For faster PLAYER vehicles (not peds), either:

    SupaKar

    OR

    Accelaration 01

    Acceleration 02

I've loaded Menyoo many times, I don't see no 539km/h limit anywhere. If you give me a little info on where this speed is displayed in-game, so I can repeat it, I'm sure I will be able to tell you what is possible or not
