Help for someone new to installing mods with GTA V but also plays online?

Hello!
So I play online relatively often but I'd like to mod SP and play that as well. I'm not familiar with modding GTA V at all https://9apps.ooo/.
I'd like to be able to do both but I know that if I accidentally start online with modded files in my game directory, I'll likely get banned. With that being said, is there any way for me to maintain an clean online game directory with also playing modded SP without making two copies of my game directory?
If so, how do I get started?

@khenising i have two copies, one stock and one modded. but i know that's not what you want.
however, i've heard from others that you can just remove the dinput8.dll from the directory and you'll be able to play online.

@khenising Use a mod folder to install stuff like add-on vehicles, peds, etc... Scripts can be installed in the script folder (SHVDN scripts) or main directory (ASI scripts) as usual. Then when you want to play online, simply rename dipunt8.dll or move it to another folder, if you do that, none of your mods will load and you will be able to play online.
