Wrong file type

I was just wondering why every file
I try to download off here downloads as a media file. They never download as a file or .dll.How do I fix or change that?

@trimega73 It sounds like you have .rar files associated with your media player. Which archive manager do you have installed, WInRar, WinZip, 7z or something else?

@trimega73 Also a malware could do that, I know that because it has happened to me once.
Try to open the file with WinRAR.
