Can't download OIV files on mods folder because package installer directs only to GTAV directory and not the mods folder
-
I'm trying to download OIV mods but when I select the "mods folder" option the package installer just writes it on the gtaV folder like so "...Epic Games\GTAV" even though it recognizes my mods folder in the file explorer part of it, it's the usual shade of blue in there, anyone know how I can change this?

@KOODred Yeah dawg. One option is you can do a manual install. Change the extension from .oiv to .zip. Once inside the content folder has the files and the assembly.xml will say where they goes.

@gtavjamal this helped alot, thanks! but it's rather hard to do it for all the big mods like VisualV and all that lmao, but thanks anyways!

@KOODred Damn. Hopefully one of the experts will chime in to help. I remember a few oiv installers didn't have the option for a mods folder but it wasn't an issue for me since I never use a mods folder.

Did you already post the same question under another account?
https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/38100/how-do-i-change-openiv-package-installer-mods-folder-directory-when-i-download-oiv-when-i-press-install-to-mods-folder-it-stops-at-gtav-folder-and-doesn-t-go-to-modsYou likely have an improper installation of OpenIV. Uninstall it, reinstall it and accept the default settings. If it finds your GTA5.exe and its folder then it will know where to find your Mods folder. Post a screenshot of you folder structure.

@JohnFromGWN I already did so, I reinstalled OpenIV but still no luck, it probably recognizes it since the mods folder is blue, but I don't know, does openIV have anything bad with Mods manager? Because I think that may have caused it. Thanks though!

@KOODred I doubt it, but disable your mods manager (just rename it) and see if it allows you to use OpenIV with OIV (OIV sucks btw).
