Game Crashes Upon Attempting to Spawn Expanded and Enhanced Car

Exactly what it says on the tin, when I try to spawn a vehicle form the latest update, such as the Weaponized Ignus, the Cyclone II, the S95 etc, regardless using something like Simple Trainer or another mod, the game will immediately freeze and crash. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

If you actually look at the models in openiv you will see they do not exist. All of the E&E content has been omitted from the update, only the background meta files, presumably to prepare the game for a coming update.

@ItsJustCurtis I stopped updating 2 updates ago but i did do a temporary update just to take a peek. What was interesting was the update2.rpf, that's definitely something new. Why prepare for an update, i mean why do it in 2 shots rather than one?

@Fabito48hd please clarify? Do you mean is there new content? I don't think so. Seems just fixes and not even sure why PC version was updated.

I see, I didn't check that the vehicles have no meta files. Doesn't matter, I can still mess around with mod cars now that SH5 has been updated. I doubt it would be convenient for anyone to somehow extract the models from the console version and import them to PC.

@WENth100 What new content? If you read the announcement there isn't any new content on any platform, or did I miss something?

he is referring to the 5 new vehicles and other content that has been added. All of the metadata and relevant xmls are included in this pc update, just the physical models and textures are absent.

@ItsJustCurtis i haven't updated, no intention of updating, no interest whatsoever in vanilla cars when i can have a Ferrari addon, but just curious about the new content? The press releases i read didn't seem to mention new content.

@JohnFromGWN right, I just told you what it was. Officially there is no new content for pc, but the update created a new file structure and add the backbone of the E&E content, presumably to prepare for their annual large summer update.

@ItsJustCurtis the release i linked to isn't for the PC, so what you're saying is that the patch has metadata for a future update? Why not have it with the summer update? The fact that the structure is the same doesn't guarantee it will be populated for the PC, we've never seen this before and obviously anything they do for PC will not be story mode.

ask R*, they have a history of doing this, almost every major update has had a smaller setup update preceeding it in the spring.

@WENth100 - I’m getting the same issue. Every time I spawn those 5 cars the game crashes. Have you identified a fix? I thought it was an issue with one of my mods

@Arkinator as curtis said above the cars dont have models so they arent able to be spawned you have to wait for them to actually release on pc whenever that actually happens
