also when i dont have the tanks added the game works fine and i can use menyoo but when i add the tanks it causes CTD

Is it this Leopard 2A7V you added?
-
If so, have you installed the Weapon Limits Adjuster prerequisite also?
-
If not, link to the original Leopard 2A7V download you're using. Thanks
-
Are you using a 'mods' folder? dlc's would be installed here if so:
Example (leo2a7v dlc) :
...\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\leo2a7v\dlc.rpf )-
Are you getting the CTD when you load the game or when you spawn the tank?
-
Upload your 'dlclist.xml':
...\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml
to somewhere like https://www.mediafire.com/, so I can download it & take a look.

@a63nt-5m1th @squirrelsinmyrectum
Checkout the weapon limits adjuster comments page and you'll see some issues reported as recently as this March 2022.
Also there is no mention in post about having a gameconfig.xml installed with the associated packfile and heap limit adjusters.
My first addon experience with GTA5 resulted in a CTD because i didn't think the gameconfig.xml was necessary on a relatively powerful Ryzen rig, but that's all it took.

@a63nt-5m1th hi here is the mod i was using and yes i have also installed the weapon limits adjuster https://de.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/leopard-2a7v-add-on-many-visual-tuning-options. and heres a link to my dlclist.xml https://www.mediafire.com/file/03c4wjnr8o4td2z/dlclist.xml/file and the game crashes while loading the story mode
-
@JohnFromGWN where can i find the gameconfig.xml and what do i do with it? i have just looked into the comments of the weapong limit adjuster and i guess it needs to be updated for the newest version of gta from what i can tell
-
@squirrelsinmyrectum
There are 2 major ones. You can try this one:
https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars
Check the requirements, 2 other mods are required with it.As for your dlclist.xml, the syntax is fine and even if you misspelled the name of the dlc folder it will not cause a crash or even hang - it simply won't load the dlc.
-
@JohnFromGWN ok thank you i will try it later
-
and also about the update.rpf, i have to place the update.rpf file into C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update but i have two of them. one is called update.rpf anf the other one is called update2.rpf. which one of those do i have to copy? or maybe both?
-
nvm it actually works now. thank you guys so much for the help!
-
@squirrelsinmyrectum Don't worry about the file called update2.rpf, this file is newly introduced and doesn't figure into the current modding environment as it stands today.
As for the vanilla update.rpf, yes copy it to your mods/update folder. Going forward this is where you'll make changes to dlclist.xml when you install addons. It's also where you will install the mod version of your gameconfig.xml, and you might make other file edits here.
Always backup this file and watch out for OIV installers which are well intended but terribly executed. They often will replace both your gameconfig.xml and dlclist.xml. This is an incredibly stupid practice that some selfish or just plain moronic creators employ to ensure that their mod takes priority over all others. So you lose all your addon entries and end up with a gameconfig.xml that is likely completely out of date for your version of GTA5.
