i love how the people who dont make the cars are the ones complaing about people charging for cars hahaha maybe the devs doing the real work got sick of posting there work here and having it ripped off left right and centre and its not like this site is putting any effort to protect our hard work so of course we will start charging for it atleast then if people go using it in ways that affect us we have something to show for it people are sitting around questioning people for wanting to get paid for there time but atleast if you give them a few bucks they might make some next level shit unlike ever seen before
you may all think you are entitled to these mods but after a while the hundreds of comments asking the same thing and not one nice thing amongst it all kind of takes its toll hahaha if you wonder why there is no new content here it is not because everyone if off in patreons charging for it...... its because who the heck wants to keep feeding the mess that is gtavmods

I fully agree with you hahaha, it must be so frustrating for you as a professional developer working on games like Forza Horizon, Asseto Corsa, Forza Motorsport, Forza Autovista, CSR 2, NFS Heat, RIDE 4. Must really piss you off when the models you created from scratch for your Gaming Company get ripped off and converted by modders.

It's true, hard to believe this site is not checking every single mod, with the help of the FBI and the RCMP and Interpol, hahaha, to see if the models were ripped off from Forza or just ripped off from a "mod converter"

I think the thing is that most of the mods and especially the ones for mp male/female are being made with FiveM in mind. Majority of the current playerbase is playing FiveM anyway.

The time and effort it takes to make most mods is not worth the pay. Strictly from a financial standpoint charging for mods could make sense if the authors only play their own mods. Using this same model if they play other authors mods then one author charges then gets charged by another. Net result is eventually and potentially little to no profit, possibly a loss depending on the price of the mod/s purchased. Lol yo imagine if AB charged for SHV updates and he totally would be entitled to but he doesn't. Doing something purely for the passion of doing it is always better than for money because the true focus is the task itself not the money with the task being a paid job. Alternatively these authors could resort to an exclusive author only mod barter type system but bartering carries with it exchange issues. Plus a VIP club setup excluding new comers with potential value to offer is not a wise way to fuel and grow such a community long term.

Beyond retarded to count on praise from strangers on the net. Deadass. If all it takes is a simple comment good or bad to affect ones internal state then seriously wtf lol. That's being a plastic bag at the mercy of the wind. Time to re-think their life if they are mentally that fragile.
Imho modding (the majority at least excluding custom commissions etc) should be done as a passion and freely with a donation type mindset fostering a sharing type community vibe. The author/s are doing what they love and unaffected by random mofos but still in a position to take on board constructive criticism and improve.
Of course Rennie is aware other modding exists but as a moderator his concern is this site.
