Crashing when adding a car addon

I installed a car mod and did everything needed to install it, I followed the installation instructions but when I boot into story mode after a few minutes of loading my screen goes black then the game quits, I tried installing different car mods but I get the same result

@LuckyMunch you need a gameconfig.xml mod and other files with it
