Play multiplayer with a lots of mods in singleplayer. How?
-
Hello friends.
Recently a good friend has acquired GTA V with the purpose of when we can, play the online mode together and hang out.
But as a user of this community, by now I have tons of mods installed.
Menyoo, ZMenu, simplefuel, turbofix, map builder, manual transmission, iktspeedo, and many others in my script folder and many mod files in my mods folder.
I've read that the ideal is to have ANOTHER GTA V in the same folder as rockstar but "clean", too bad I don't have the memory resources or the time now to be able to copy the complete game.
Do you know a way to modify or remove something that causes my game to not be recognized as multiplayer moded in any way?
Thank you.

Yes you will see that frequently from people who don't understand the Windows file structure nor how mods work jn general. These are usually the same people who will advise you to reformat your hard drive and reinstall windows if you have the slightest problem, and the same people who will advise you to reinstall the game after a crash or that you will get banned for playing online with regular mods.
To play online you simply rename dinput8.dll. That's it that's all.

@JohnFromGWN Oooh that sounds great.
And it's ready? I don't have to delete anything else or change anything else?
Funny, I thought it was much more difficult.
I knew this was discussed on the forum, but since there is no search tool, I couldn't find it.
Thank you very much, I owe you a couple of beers (or fruit juices of these modern people)

@Fabito48hd In passing, you can also play online with all or most of your mods, for free, with as many friends as you want, by creating your own FiveM server. Easy to install, some knowledge required to host. Other alternative is to join public FiveM or RP servers, but they will have their own mods and community.

@Fabito48hd Beer is preferred.

@JohnFromGWN I honestly don't think I play much, I've never tried it and it's been like "hey fucking old man, I also have the game you mentioned once, let's play".
But we don't have the time or the ability to play what we'd like.
I just tried changing that file, and it worked, my game is totally vanilla. Amazing.
-
@Fabito48hd If you try to go online, you can't. Even Menyoo will give you a message.
The only way to go online with mods, and possibly get banned, is with mods or scripts specifically designed to cheat. This will result in an RAC ban if caught.
-
@Fabito48hd that's also the best way to troubleshoot a broken game to determine if mods broke it or if vanilla game files are corrupted.
Yes, your game is now pure vanilla unless you modified game files rather than those in your mods folder.
That could be a possible ban however, if you mod files in the game folder of course. It depends what files you modified, but to be safe and to maintain the integrity of game files, always use a mods folder.
All scripts and asi files will be blocked from online by SH5 design and by renaming dinput8.dll which loads asi's. OpenIV similarly keeps mods in the mod folder from going online.
One last point, the game doesn't care about other folders. I have dozens of personal sub folders in my GTA5 folder, none of which will prevent going online, although i don't anyway.

@JohnFromGWN I still don't know wtf a RAC ban is.
-
@Rstein What is RAC? RAC stands for Rockstar Anti-Cheat. It means that a player has been flagged by the anti-cheat.
-
fivem or 5m or whatever it's called

@madkirk74 rules will probably depend on who is hosting - ask and find out.
