Voltic Rocket 'Ignition' for addon car?

I have been trying to get the Rocket Voltic rocket to work on another car. I have managed to get the textures copied over correctly.
Currently, the rocket doesn't "ignite" (red glow) and when I use the boost there is no fire/smoke behind the car. However, if I spawn the Rocket Voltic next to my car, the rocket on my car ignites and the fire/smoke works correctly.
Has anyone worked out how to get the rocket to ignite without having to spawn the Rocket Voltic?
