I just saw your post, link below, or at least it quoted post-removal by @meimeiriver.

I bet you thought it was quite clever posting under a fake/duplicate account. I might have got a laugh out of it too, if that was what my reply was conveying, but that wasn't at all my intention. I try to help people but they need to do their part.

Oh, and in passing, JohnFromGWN's mom (aka my mom) died recently, so good job selecting a name.

  • @JohnFromGWN Real talk dawg. Sorry to hear about ya mom. Especially how the subject was raised in this context. My sincere condolences.

  • @gtavjamal

    Thanks.
You know, to be honest, the mom reference I can let slide - because it was not intended to be hurtful and these remarks are common in gaming trash talk.

Sure it hurt, but what I find pathetic is users who need to create fake accounts, the same users who post over and over again, starting new almost duplicate threads, that their game is broken. They dont offer any information, never say thank you, and generally ignore any advice that is offered. They blame their own errors on R*, or SH5, or Menyoo, never taking responsibility and think they are entitled to an immediate answer by this community of volunteers.

Biggest irony is that often the biggest complainers are the ones with shitty pirated games.

  • @JohnFromGWN
Would take just one slip up (forgetting to use VPN when logging in just once etc) from the user in question to leave an ip address trail, that if a moderator was inclined, could possibly be used to identify the user (if the user has another account here etc. I'd say it's likely they do).
If a trail has been left, using gta5-mods login ip address info (you could potentially identify ISP/Geolocation from that (if multiple different (non-VPN) ip address logins etc), if not exact ip) combined with a list of people you've interacted with over the last few weeks (& have viewed this thread right here) would probably give you a shortlist of culprits, if not the exact user. That's where I would start if I was a mod & conducting a forensic investigation into it anyway.

  • @a63nt-5m1th I just noted the post was deleted, either by OP or mod, although I didn't request a delete,

Again, we will always have individuals who can't figure out why their game crashes. The ones who expect the community will come running without the benefit of any useful information on the issue in question and quickly make it all good.

You refer them to a posting on asking for help and in their entitled mindset they interpret it as if you don't want to help.

The OP had 30 posts, in multiple threads, all complaints about crashes, and was given solid proven advice, demonstrating on his part a pattern of negligence with respect to modding in general. Never a thank you, only criticism that the given advice didn't work.

Or maybe it's just a reluctance to take and follow advice. Afterall, youtube offers easy 100% fix solutions for all modding problems, could be as simple as putting all the files in system32 in your root folder. Disclaimer: please don't do that.

Fact is with that attitude some users shouldn't be modding,

  • @JohnFromGWN My friend John, I am sorry for your loss.

I just have to say that, after the latest storm of angry users after the update, anyone who wants to contact me will find me by private message.

I'm not going to waste my time with little kids who can't go to the toilet without their mother.

  • Sorry for your loss brother. If you need to take some time away from this site. Do it. We will all understand.

  • @JohnFromGWN I'm deeply sorry for your loss :( but yeah, unfortunately the internet is crawling with idiotas that got bullied in their childhood and guess trying to be superior of others using the internet...
