Texture Tool replacing Levels ID of textures to a different number.
-
I'm trying to replace the textures in the Mission Row Police D by gabzv. But every time I replace a texture with the Texture Tool it changes the levels number and messes with the location of the textures.
I'm not sure how to add the new textures without it making its levels id change.

@FlyFixer since you paid good money to have this on your FiveM server, why not ask Gabz for support?
And it's Gabz not Gabzv, unless he changed his name to honor QuantV?
Not sure what textures, embedded or ytd, you're trying to change but try rpf explorer or extract with OpenIV.

So why not extract openformats with OpenIV, edit, import back

@JohnFromGWN I'll give it a shot

@FlyFixer @JohnFromGWN Indeed. Why muck about with some weird tool, when OpenIV can do it too, and likely even better.
When the textures are embedded, you can use 3ds Max, for instance. There too you can get the texture ID list mixed up (but not when you do it properly).
Instead of 3ds Max, which also comes with a max price, I personally love the simple ODR route (export with OpenIV to .odr). ODR can be used by 3ds Max too, of course, but its text files can also be easily edited manually, to swap out embedded textures, sans running the risk of getting the texture ID list messed up (or certain types of glass getting borked).
