Crash with code from log file
-
My gta5 game crash a lot these days, not sure why but they crashed randomly. After I checked a file called launcher 03, I found this:
[crashdetection] exit with code 0xc00000fd
(3221225725)Here are the situations:
• I installed 6 addon weapons. but I edited 3 of
them by my self. I use the code from one
author ,then replace the model and textures
from another weapon mods. I am not sure if
this can make my mod unstable?• some of my addon vehicles and interiors are
from many years ago , no updates.• All required files are installed, like packfile
limit adjuster and heap adjuster,gameconfig
etc…… and yes, everything are the latest version.• game never crash while loading story mode.
only crash during gameplay,at random
place.•When my game crash, graphic randomly
freezes but the sound is still on,then my
game crashed without any error messages.I am also thinking if it's caused by memory problems,I also heard that I need to adjust the value from adjuster files to fit my need, but how to determine which value should I use?
I hope someone can help me,thanks!

[crashdetection] exit with code 0xc00000fd
(3221225725)Unfortunately these codes are most often meaningless and useless. More useful info can be found in log files, launcher log, or worst case WEV (event viewer)
Here are the situations:
• I installed 6 addon weapons. but I edited 3 of
them by my self. I use the code from one
author ,then replace the model and textures
from another weapon mods. I am not sure if
this can make my mod unstable?Definitely this can screw up a game. All edits can. Uninstall the 3 edited ones (backup up your edits first) and it might fix your issue
• some of my addon vehicles and interiors are
from many years ago , no updates.addons tend to age very well, even the ones from 2017, however the latest R* patches have broken interiors (mostly static collision issues). Your problem is clearly not falling through the map, but to rule out old or outdated mods, uninstall, or move them out, or remove entry temporarily from dlclist.xml. In passing, old scripts do NOT get better with time.
• All required files are installed, like packfile
limit adjuster and heap adjuster,gameconfig
etc…… and yes, everything are the latest version.Good. Just remember certain mods (OIV installers) sometimes replace your gameconfig.xml with an older one
• game never crash while loading story mode.
only crash during gameplay,at random
place.yes, that's very common, not unexpected nor surprising
•When my game crash, graphic randomly
freezes but the sound is still on,then my
game crashed without any error messages.been there, done that
I am also thinking if it's caused by memory problems,I also heard that I need to adjust the value from adjuster files to fit my need, but how to determine which value should I use?
possibly but make the changes suggested above first. As for adjusting the values instead of using the default values, ask yourself this question: Does the random guy on any forum or Youtube channel know more about these mods than the experts who created them? Answer should be no, and no you don't want to touch these values unless you understand them thoroughly. They won't help unless you have hundreds of mods installed or your PC/Laptop has 640K of RAM. The philosophy that if the recommended value is 500, then 500,000 should be much better doesn't apply to modding
I hope someone can help me,thanks!

Thanks… I reinstalled everything and looks like it's fine now. Can't understand why it always happen but I have heard that rockstar made a lot of bugs in gta5 for some reason, and it can screw the game experience. Just hope this won't happen in gta6
