when i change gta v assault rifle model, my game does infinite loading screen

Whenever I change the vanilla assault rifle model over to a different model, my game gets stuck on infinite loading screen, how do I fix this? I find the vanilla assault rifle model bad, and I really wanna use the different ones people have made.
