[Solved] ALL my Add-on vehicles are gone (INVALID VEHICLE)

  • Hi there,

Today I installed a new add-on vehicle. Just as I did, I replaced some files (Gameconfig, dlclist, extratitleupdatedata). I realized that when I started the game, all my Add-on vehicles were gone.
At first I thought it was a memory error, but I saw the replaced vehicles were still there, only the Add-on vehicles, player mods, weather mods were all gone.

I used the Menyoo trainer to load a vehicle and noticed it said, for instance: Lamborghini Aventador [Invalid vehicle]

If there's someone out there with the answer to this problem, please post it down below. It could help me a lot.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @DJOzmanMJ check your dlclist.xml does it still have those add on dlc names in it?

since you said you replaced dlclist it means your original dlclist enteries are gone. if u indeed replaced the dlclist.

what u can do is. find the backup of ur dlclist and put it there. if u don't have the back up then write those missing dlc name lines in the dlclist.

  • @FoxtrotDelta The dlclist.xml and extratitleupdatedata.meta still contain all of the vehicles and are perfectly fine. I think the problem really depends on either my Gameconfig, my ScripthookV or something else I can't think of. But I'm not sure what triggered the game to turn off all the Add-on mods.

  • @DJOzmanMJ Check your xml files for any invalid tags, this is often the cause of a failure. All it takes is a missing < or /> causing a malformed tag, or some stray text after a /> and it prevents the whole file from working. I've done it myself and they can be a pain to spot.

  • @DJOzmanMJ then gameconfig it is, check the version of your game. and then write it here. one of the gameconfigs. has to work.

  • @FoxtrotDelta My version is 1.0.35

  • @DJOzmanMJ that's very old. try taking out, gameconfig from your update folder, not the mods folder. and put it into the mods folder. see if you can spawn any cars this way.

  • @DJOzmanMJ And why don't you update? You are missing out a lot of cool stuff!

  • @Akila_Reigns I might update soon if this method won't work. I kept the old update since various/few mods weren't working anymore in later versions of the game.

  • @FoxtrotDelta It didn't work. I tried that several times.
However, I noticed something else. I had in fact, some cars from the recent to old updates but now they're all gone. I'm guessing I either removed some update by accident or some mod did it for me.
I guess I'm just going to reinstall the entire game with updates this time.

  • @LeeC2202 Just posting to say I found the SOLUTION. It was as I suspected a car Add-on mod that changed all my settings. It somehow deleted all the add-on and DLC vehicles and reset all the vehicles to that of the base game. So even the actual DLC would get lost.
Unfortunately for me I have to download everything over again, but at least I know what the cause of the problem was.

EDIT: Nevermind the post above. The solution was a missing '>' at the end of a sentence... So stupid yet so simple.

    Thanks for help guys!

  • @DJOzmanMJ Great so, @LeeC2202 was right! he Helped you solve it Great. i think you should , give him an upvote in the below comment.
