Update broke textures on 'Grove Street'....
-
Yeah so, still...cleaning up the game after the last update and now the whole section of both sides of Grove st. All the houses on both sides of the road from the LTD to the edge just before entering the cul du sac the textures go all wonky when you get in visual range. I've pulled other nearby mlo maps and they're still broken. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

@iammistahwolf you must have incredible patience to put up with all those issues after each update. It's obvious your passionate about this game so I hope one day you'll bite the bullet and buy the Steam version, revert, and never have to worry about post update issues again.

@JohnFromGWN, It's not from 'want of desire' to get a better platform for the game. It's all about 'can't'. I'm still running a Win7 rig, pretty sturdy and can run the game well (w/out stupid updates.) But, I missed the window for the 'free win10 update' a while ago and don't want to shell out the cash for the full price version. By the time I'm ready to get another rig, win11 should have most of the bugs out.

@iammistahwolf Game was designed for minimum requirement of Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1. I don't think moving to Win 11 will resolve anything but it can't hurt.
As for free upgrades, your path could be Win 7 to Win 10 to Win 11. If you google free updates 2023 there are still sites saying this is possible.

Do your own search, you have nothing to lose. Of course the upgrade to Win 11 isn't as simple because of TPM which is very unlikely your BIOS supports.
In passing after much research on Win 11's advantages, I stayed on Win 10 as I don't have any patience to start finding and fixing new issues, either with Windows programs or games like GTA5. Not saying Win10 is better, just saying you might still be able to upgrade for free and Win 10 works for millions of users until you build or buy a new rig.
As for Steam version of GTA5, whether I was on Win 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 100, i would still use this version because it allows me to do what I want...which is play a game without any issues, fully stable on rig which is now outdated. I wish i had the bread for a new rig with an RTX 4080 but I don't but I'm still ok with my 2070.

@JohnFromGWN thanks for the info. Yeah, I've tried this a number of times with no luck. However, this looks promising.
