How to fix moon path?

Moon on my game has weird pathing, it changes if I speed forward the game, sometimes it never rise or sets but just wanders on the sky and fades in a random time.
VisualV claims to fix moon path but I just tried it and a bunch of other mods and the path does change but always weirdly. I tried using on <moon_direction_x/y/z> entries on timecycle files to match those of the sun, but apparently it only changed the distance to the moon, not the way it travels.
Changing the "moon_roll" value on time.xml affects it but I can not really understand how.
Anyone there tried playing with this?
