Freedom of speech is just a concept. That's why I believe in illusionary democracies. Whether you live in North Korea or Canada or the USA, no such thing as free speech.
This site is both a community and a business. While I disagree with many of the locked threads here, the one you're alluding to was justified in being locked. When comment threads deteriorate to that extent, going totally off topic in the process, the admins not only have the right but also the responsibility to shut it down.
I've been guilty in participating and even initating these flame wars and readily conceed now they should be blocked. The need to ban users is arguable.
Anyway in this instance it was legit and justified to shut the bullshit down.

I fully agree to that
and no X government is more honest than Y government... Humor me, there are thousands of spy satellites roaming at outside planet that an astronaut can hop over them without ever falling, let their only worry be a balloon LOL 
Perhaps it would be nice if authors would avoid using words/images that could cause such issues .. But oh well, judging by how language and graphic violance some mods are...
Anyways it looks a good model, I'm gonna use it to watch goose migrations
and the overall pollution

ftr. ive never understood blind allegiance / devotion to a group, belief, religion, traditions etc especially when people get triggered over such things. in most cases we cant control the external environment only our own internal state in relation to it.

Yeah as soon as we jump on the net or step foot in the city we get potentially spied on to varying degrees. Just leaving our house all it takes is a stranger with a phone camera.
