My Readme files are opening strange when I download mods!

Many of my Readme files are opening in a strange way. I am not sure if they are becoming corrupted or if it is a problem on my end, but it is a little hard for someone of my experience level to work with readmes like this...

**Any ideas on how to fix this? Not sure why they are doing this...
