First person movement in third person

  • Apparently the game literally not responding to your input properly (because of animations) isn't enough of a priority to have been addressed in over 8 years of modding, which is just baffling to me given the thousands of silly mods out there.

On foot movement is horrible because of it but it's made slightly better when in first person which has different animations and thus allows for snappier, more responsive control.

Is it possible to use the same first person movement animations (that other players would see) for third person gameplay to alleviate the sluggish movement?

I think you answered your own question.
Silly mods are a dime a dozen.
Animations, not to be confused with poses, require skills.
I've never seen an animation mod, certainly not one worth installing.

  • @JohnFromGWN well I'm talking stupid mods that took a lot of skill/effort. And I'm not asking for any animations to be created. I'm talking about the game treating the movement like you're in first person even when you're not, which simply results in different animations by default.

I'm just wondering if it's possible. I'd happily learn to do it myself if I have to

  • @JohnFromGWN This software any good?

I thought they just did it with a live person and hooked sensors to their body or use lasers to scan the movements.

Lasers can do anything including blow up entire planets.

  • @gtavjamal I've seen the video, never tried the software, but it will not help with GTA 5.

Here's a very useful and friendly animation software, online, free, from Adobe.

  • @JohnFromGWN Thanks. Is that the software the pros use these days or how do they do it. Via advanced custom software? Like I mean how would Rockstar do their animations?

I always thought they just put on those dorky looking suits with the sensors and feed the data to the computer and get the backroom nerds to fill the gaps, tweak things etc. Like to capture Tiger woods golf swing perfectly in game or any realistic movements.
